Recently, Penn State University hosted the fifth One-to-One Computing Conference, which focused on improving teacher skill by providing new technology for the school district. In successful one-to-one programs, students have unlimited learning access. SAGE partnered with PolyVision for the three-day event to demonstrate the ēno™ board, Qwizdom™ student response systems and Lumens document cameras. Sessions included effective methods to introduce new classroom technology, how to use wikis (interlinked, collaborative Web sites), one-to-one implementation strategies, and connecting lessons to the real world. SAGE highlighted its technicians' and engineers' abilities to physically integrate classroom technology. While most local integrators just sell boxes to school districts, SAGE prides itself on end-to-end partnership with district technology directors during brainstorming, design, purchasing installation and service. |
