Mike has well over thirty years of experience in the design, service, and installation of professional sound reinforcement systems. An Electronics Institute graduate, his wealth of knowledge contributes to his invaluable ability to quickly solve problems at all levels of detail. Mike is co-facilitator for the NSCA Electronic Systems Technician (EST) training course, and received the valedictorian award for two consecutive years.
John Edwards - Systems Engineer:
John has eight years of experience at SAGE. Before his time here, John served as a communications security/radio technician for the US Army, a two-way radio technician for two years, and a Data Systems Installer for six months. John earned the Customer Service Award for 2005, and won Rookie of the Year and Professional Growth awards as well. John holds certificates from Rauland-Borg, MaxXess, Blonder Tongue, Phillips and Leviton.
Bill Miller - Healthcare Engineer:
Bill joined SAGE in 2000, applying his substantial systems integration experience to the healthcare industry. Before joining the SAGE team, he implemented access control solutions in massive parking garages. Bill graduated from ITT Technical Institute with an Associate's degree in electronics, receiving highest honors and named Graduate of the Term. Bill holds certifications with Rauland Nurse Call, Blonder Tongue, Zenitel intercom systems, Philips, Identicard, HIPAA and ICRA.
Galen Kraybill, CTS - Senior A/V Systems Engineer:
Galen came to SAGE in 2000. He left Sage in 2006 to work for SPL, one of the largest integration firms in the world (now AVI-SPL). During his time as a project manager and engineer at SPL, Galen designed and installed customized conferencing systems for clients including Citigroup, NEC, Aetna, Cisco and SAP. Galen has continued to receive training through the NSCA and ICIA, earning his CTS certification in 2004. Galen received a Bachelor of Music degree with a concentration in Music Recording Technology from Lebanon Valley College in 1998. Galen's current area of responsibility at SAGE includes design, engineering, testing and optimization of A/V systems.
Herb Ricords, MCSE, CCNA, SSGB - Network Engineer:
Herb has more than ten years' experience in the IT field. He has managed the design and delivery of a number of technical projects, including custom hardware, software and network deployment. He has extensive Information Security training and has attended several Microsoft Solutions Framework design courses. He has earned a Six Sigma Green Belt for Healthcare. Herb provides both design and technical support for SAGE clients while personally pursuing advanced technical education opportunities.
Dave Potter, MCSE, CCNA - Network Engineer:
Dave came to SAGE as Network Engineer in 2001. Dave worked for the Columbia School District, first as a Business Education Teacher and more recently as their Technology Coordinator. Dave's experience makes him an instrumental part of our network designs, especially in the educational market. He is a Microsoft Certified System Engineer, Microsoft Certified Database Administrator, Cisco Certified Network Associate and Avaya Certified Associate. Dave has received numerous Rauland-Borg and Proxim certifications.
Albert O'Rawe MCSE, CCNA - Network Engineer:
Albie has over 15 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. He comes to SAGE from Scottel Voice & Data, an international telecom firm with offices throughout North America and Europe. At Scottel, Albie was responsible for engineering, implentation and programming of many high-profile business communications systems and call systems, including that in the Beverly Hills Hotel. Back at SAGE after a stint at MTM Technologies, Albie continues to grow in knowledge and skill. He holds several Avaya certifications — ACA, ACS and ACE in VoIP implementation — and recently completed the Cisco CCNA certification.
Rick Geiner, CTS - Senior Project Manager:
Rick has been a technician and project manager for fifteen years. He has considerable experience in voice, video, and data systems, especially in multi-building installations and multiple, simultaneous large projects. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Penn State University as well as factory-authorized training from Bosch (Philips), Blonder Tongue, Rauland-Borg and Leviton.
Adam Kirkessner, CTS - Project Engineer:
With thirteen years as an electronics technician and another seven managing prime and subcontract construction, Adam provides SAGE with project management and quality control. His experience, shaped by USMC service, encompasses installations, networking, systems integrations, field staff supervision, and audio-visual presentation solutions. Adam completed AMX, Blonder-Tongue, Philips, and Rauland factory-authorized training, and NSCA audio courses. Adam is working towards a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Lebanon Valley College.
Dave Heffner - Project Manager/Journeyman Electrician:
Dave is one of SAGE's most experienced technicians. For more than a decade on the team, Dave served as project superintendent on the largest installations to date. Three years ago, Dave was promoted to the role of Project Manager, where his field experience proved essential in the successful completion of many more ventures.
Drew Hoffman - Customer Service Representative:
Drew has spent the last ten years developing custom programming for A/V, classroom media retrieval, telephony, and teleconferencing systems. His unique skill set aids customers in developing intuitive custom interfaces and streamlining end-user system operations. Drew is very familiar with customized systems, including AMX, Crestron, Rauland, Avaya and Polycom. Drew's responsibilities include needs assessment, custom interface design, programming, and customer training.
Craig Brown, CTS - Systems Integration Specialist:
Craig spent five years leading our service team after joining SAGE in 2001, developing a strong telecommunications focus. As coordinator of our Systems Integration Group, he personally earns our company's reputation for high-quality customer service. Craig's twenty years of experience in technical and customer service management include training on the Avaya IP Office platform and other Avaya systems. In 2007, he completed year two of the NSCA's EST course as national valedictorian.
Mark Lizambri - Systems Sales Engineer:
Mark exceeds our healthcare and educational clients' expectations with his rare combination of diverse technical expertise and interpersonal communication skills. Mark is our healthcare market specialist, and his twenty years' experience in systems integration qualifies him as an expert in most A/V communications technologies. Mark's formal education includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics Engineering from the Ohio Institute of Technology. He also has certifications for Rauland-Borg, AVAYA and other key manufacturers' technical and EPS programs.
Mark Showers, CTS - Systems Specialist:
Prior to joining SAGE in 2001, Mark worked in professional studio and live sound mixing for more than a decade, specializing in system design of courtroom technology, boardroom presentation systems, video teleconferencing systems, paging systems, professional sound, recording, and TV distribution technology. He is a Synergetic Audio Concepts (Syn-Aud-Con) graduate and holds certificates from the Extron School of A/V Technologies, Electrovoice Pro Sound seminar, BSS Sound Web Programming seminar and the Blonder Tongue RF Distribution seminar.
Charles Mowrer, CTS - Systems Specialist, Estimator:
Charlie joined SAGE in 2001. In addition to construction projects bid estimation, he has spent more than ten years designing and installing technology: paging systems, intercom, pro sound, security, access control, video presentation, TV distribution, telephony, networks, and wireless communications. Charlie won the SAGE customer service award in 2003. He has earned several industry standard certifications, such as Infocomm's CTS and Extron's EAVA. He holds qualifications from MAXxess, Bosch, IQ EYE, ShoreTel, Avaya, VBrick, Johnson Controls, Leviton, Hubbell and Crestron. Charlie is a lifetime member of BICSI, and he is working towards becoming an RCDD.
Jason Stolzfus, CTS - Systems Specialist:
Jason has been around live production for many years. His experience includes a/v design and engineering, lightning design, and rigging. Jason has a Bachelor of the Arts in broadcast, telecommunications, and mass media from Messiah College and Temple University. Before coming to SAGE, Jason was assistant technical director at Harrisburg's Whitaker Center. He has also worked in the sales departments of two local television stations, and earned his EST.
David Damron - Security Systems Specialist:
David has three decades of technical expertise. Formerly at Bosch, he joined SAGE in 2008 as security systems specialist. His long record of dedicated leadership and professionalism is founded on an excellent period of service in the United States Naval Reserves. SAGE is proud to complement his management, analytical, problem-solving and customer support skills, and recognizes his ability to continuously strive to efficiently accomplish objectives.
Lin Spech, CTS - Systems Specialist:
Lin comes to SAGE as higher education system specialist after 20 years in the field. She has previously represented both Panasonic and JP Lilley as Sales Manager and spent considerable amounts of time on advising committees in schools and universities. Most recently, Lin has served PEPPM, Dauphin County Vo-Tech and the PSU-Capital Area Institute of Mathematics and Science. Lin is an InfoComm Certified Technology Specialist.
Daniel Rohrer - President:
Daniel has over twenty years' experience both designing multimedia and communications systems and managing their installation. Clients, architects, engineers, and construction firms have come to depend upon his reputation for integrity and dependability. Daniel has trained through Peavey MediaMatrix®, Synergetic Audio Concepts (Syn-Aud-Con), the National Systems Contractors Association (NSCA) and Avaya Communications (formerly Lucent Technologies). He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Wheaton College and a Masters in Educational Media from Temple University.
Jim Van Fossen - General Manager:
Jim has managed A/V and systems technology services for over 25 years. He has substantial experience in personnel management, contracting, union negotiations, acquisitions, and new business start-up. Jim started his career as a technician, and his time in AV, video, sound and computer programming allows him to lead by example. In developing business operation efficiencies and process improvements for top government agencies and Fortune 500 companies, Jim built a great reputation for leading a team that exceeds customer expectations. Jim facilitates NSCA's Electronic Systems Technician training courses and has personally completed OSHA-10 certification.
Jay Zellers - Controller:
Jay has almost four decades' experience in public and industry accounting, working as a construction accountant for over ten years and managing personnel for more than twenty. Jay brings SAGE years of expertise in financial statement preparation, accounts payable and receivable, and service contract accounting. He graduated from Elizabethtown College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, completing 33 credits in the accounting field. Jay is a very active member of his church, the Elizabethtown Fair and the Kiwanis group.
